Our home town of Petersburg is located in Menard County, and is the county seat. Located just two (2) miles north of Abraham Lincoln’s New Salem State Historic Site, and approximately 25 miles north of the state capital Springfield, Petersburg is nestled in the lower Sangamon Valley among rolling hills. Our town is home to a population of approximately 2,300 folks, many of whom make their living farming.
